Landlord and Tenant Law
Landlord and Tenant Law concerns landlord’s and tenant’s rights and responsibilities. Because the residence you rent is your own personal space, the law places many limits on the landlord’s activities. For example, if a landlord tries to make you move without giving you enough notice, or ignores a rat infestation, there are options and remedies you have as a tenant. On the other hand, remedies are available to a landlord where, for example, its tenant is breaking rules, such as moving out months early or refusing to pay rent.
